This project began as a browser-based tool for public defenders. However, systemic constraints leave these attorneys with as little as seven minutes per case, restricting practical software adoption. To bridge this critical gap, the platform is expanding into an open-ecosystem tool. This pivot directly empowers underserved criminal defendants but can be used by public defenders and anyone else engaged in case preparation and legal research.

To solve this systemic time bottleneck, Gideon's Edge operates as a software system that a defendant accesses directly via any standard computer or pad.

Defendants have time and motivation. With some support they can use these resources to their advantage.

This project is being built to support people in exercising their rights. That said it is my perspective that the American people have lost their sense of agency. This is my attempt to help return it.
